Solar Water Pumping Projects

In recent years, with climate change, the rainy season in the semi-desert region of western Sudan has shortened and the dry season has extended. It is very difficult for nomadic people living in the region to obtain water for daily life and livestock.

The Nord-Ouest province in northwestern Haiti is rich in bananas and coffee. Due to the constraints of water supply and irrigation conditions, in the dry season, farms that rely on rainfall for natural irrigation face the difficulty of water shortage for irrigation.

In December 2022, in Nimroz Province, Afghanistan, a UNICEF-funded solar village water supply project using the Solartech soalr water pumping system was officially accepted and handed over to the local government for management and operation.

In November 2022, in Docamavida, Chile, Solartech 3kW solar water pumping system was successfully installed on a farm for growing corn and watermelons.

Animal husbandry is the main source of economic income in Neuken, Argentina. Due to the influence of terrain and climate, most areas of the province are dry, and the average annual precipitation is less than 200 mm, which seriously restricts the development of local animal husbandry. In November 2022, a solar water pump system for cattle drinking water supply has been successfully installed in Santo Tomas, Neuken Province.
