Project Location:
Battambang, Cambodia
Project Introduction:
Battambang Province, located in the west of Cambodia, has fertile land and is known as "the rice bowl of Cambodia". Most people are engaged in agricultural and forestry production. Due to the unstable power supply, local farmers often face the problem of water shortage irrigation during the dry season.
Solution:
Benefiting from the local sufficient solar energy, solar irrigation system can provide effective and economic irrigation solution for local farmers. In February 2023,
Solartech permanent magnet 1.5kW solar irrigation system was successfully installed in a date palm nursery in Battambang Province. The
SPM-S solar water pump configured in this system is easy to install, fully automatic operation, without manual supervision and battery. The daily water flow of the solar pump system is 35 cubic meters under 45m water head.
Social Benefits:
Compared with the previous use of diesel pump, it saves fuel and maintenance costs. In the dry season, the system can provide stable irrigation water for the farm and guarantee farmers' crop harvest.
