With the advantages of mechanization, high degree of automation and high irrigation efficiency, central pivot sprinkler irrigation system has been widely used in agricultural irrigation in recent years, especially in some large farms. However, due to the constraints of power supply, the pivot irrigation system is difficult to be used in some large farms in areas without power grid coverage or unstable power supply.

In order to solve this problem, Solartech has provided a solar submersible pumping irrigation solution of solar center pivot sprinkler system. In June 2021, a Solartech central pivot sprinkler irrigation system was successfully installed in a farm in Kanel province, Matam district, Senegal. The main power supply of the system is provided by solar PV generator system, but backed up with grid power supply, automatic switching and no need of battery.

It can ensure the stable water supply of the irrigation system, save the expenditure of electricity, and significantly improve the comprehensive income of the farm.
