Project Location:
Syria
Project Introduction:
Southern Syria has a tropical desert climate, with high temperatures and droughts throughout the year and scarce rainfall. Villagers living in these places often face the challenge of water shortage.
Solution:
In February 2021, Solartech 26kW solar borehole pumping system was successfully installed in Syria, with an average daily water flow over 150m3, providing basic domestic water for over 1,000 people in nearby village.
Social Benefits:
The system is powered by solar energy, no need storage battery. It is fully automatic operation, without manual guard. The operation and maintenance costs is low which can effectively solve the problem of difficult access to water in off-grid and power-deficient areas.
