Project Location:
Sudan
Project Introduction:
In Sudan, the population engaged in agriculture accounts for about 80% of the country's total population. Due to the tropical desert climate and savannah climate in most areas, the annual average rainfall is less than 100 mm. This natural condition brings great challenge to agricultural irrigation.
Solution:
In February 2021, Solartech 11kW solar pumping system was installed and debugged in a farm in Khartoum, Sudan. The system is powered by solar generator and converted by Solartech solar pump inverter to drive the borehole well pump to pump water, and adjust the operation frequency of the pump in real time according to the solar power intensity. Under the condition of solar power supply, the borehole well pump can run smoothly, ensure the water output and extend the service life of the pump.
Social Benefits:
The system does not need battery, and it runs automatically without manual guard. Compared with the diesel generator pump system, it saves high operation and maintenance costs. With this system to provide irrigation water, owners are confident of this year's wheat and alfalfa harvest.
