Project Location:
Nanga Eboko, central province of Cameroon
Project Introduction:
At present, the proportion of villages with grid access in rural areas of Cameroon is still low. Because there is no power supply, it brings great challenges to the operation of these rural water supply facilities. People have to use diesel engine water pumping system on a large scale, but the operation and maintenance cost of diesel water pumping system is still very high relative to the income level of rural residents in these areas.
Solution:
In June 2021, a rural community in the suburb of Nanga Eboko, central province of Cameroon, selected Solartech PB-G2 series AC solar powered water pump system, total water head around 80 meters and more than 30 cubic meters daily water discharge.
Social Benefits:
After the installation of the system, it not only solved the problem of daily living water for more than 130 people, significantly improved the health level of villagers, but also played an important role in local epidemic prevention and control.
