Project Location:
Yemen (2020)
Project Introduction:
At present, agriculture plays a leading role in Yemen's national economic system, and the population engaged in agriculture accounts for about 70% of the total population. Due to the lack of reliable and stable power grid, the traditional diesel pump pumping irrigation is still the main irrigation mode in Yemen. In recent years, the local government has encouraged and promoted the use of solar energy in agricultural irrigation and other fields, hoping to reduce agricultural investment costs and government subsidies for diesel oil use.
Solution:
In September 2020, Shenzhen Solartech 7.5kW AC solar pumping system was successfully installed in Yemen, mainly used to provide irrigation water for banana fields. The system is powered by pure solar power generation, fully automatic operation, without manual supervision. Compared with diesel water pumping system, the system significantly saves the operation and maintenance costs, thus increasing the income of banana farmers.
