The southern province of Cautin in Chile has a humid climate with rainy winters and generally warm summers, with thriving agriculture, forestry, and cattle farming. However, some farmers and herdsmen living in valley areas face significant water supply difficulties due to the lack of power grid coverage.
In November 2023, at Temuco, Solartech supported and cooperated with the Chilean agent's technical team to design a targeted solar water pumping system with
"one solar pumping inverter driving two water pumps" based on the actual irrigation and cattle raising water needs of local farmers and herdsmen. The system first uses a submersible pump to pump water from the borehole well to the water tank, and then uses a surface pump to pump water from the water tank through pipeline to the water supply point after the water tank is filled with water. During the entire system operation, only manual operation of the water pump selection switch is required.
Thanks to the installation of this system, it not only provides the farmer with very convenient access to irrigation and livestock drinking water, but also ensures their income from planting and breeding.
