Project Introduction:
This is a pilot project of solar agricultural irrigation system to promote the efficient water saving irrigation in Weihai city. Renhe town locates in the southwest of Rongcheng city where is hill and mountainous region with a lot of rivers. Its climate belongs to monsoon climate of medium latitudes, and it’s rich in wind resource, while in recent years, wind power generation industry has never solved the problems of drinking water and agricultural irrigation fundamentally. According to the request of further promoting new countryside construction and developing modern agriculture in the report of 18th Nation People Congress of China, and considering the problem of agricultural irrigation is due to the low coverage rate of power grid which makes it impossible for people to make use of the existing water near by the farm. Rongcheng has sufficient surface water and underground water, and long annual sunshine hours, the water conservancy bureau and local village committee decided to use solar pumping system to replace the inefficient wind pumping system and build a matching water reservoir to meet the water demand for production and drinking.
Solution:
Solartech PS7500 solar pumping system was applied in this project, with 30m total lift, the daily water supply is 250 cubic meters. Beside the system, a winterized water reservoir of 500 cubic meters was built, within two days it can be filled up with water. In addition, it’s a stand alone water supplying system, it saved the effort and cost on the construction and maintenance of the water pipeline network from another place to the village. Solar pumping system and reservoir have helped improving the living conditions of the village and also played an important role promoting the modern agriculture construction and water conservancy industry. This is Solartech’s pilot project of efficient solar agricultural pumping in Rongcheng, Shandong province.
