Project Introduction:
In recent years, the main driving force of Benin's economic growth has come from the agricultural sector. Local government departments also attach great importance to the investment in agricultural infrastructure construction.
Solution:
In June, 2022, Solartech PB-G2 series 9.2kw AC solar pump system was successfully installed in a farm in the suburb of Dassa Zoumé, Collines Province, central Benin. The total water head the system is about 20m, and the average daily water flow is more than 300m3, which solves the problem of seasonal water shortage for irrigation caused by power shortage.
Social Benefits:
The system is powered by solar power generation without energy storage battery, and can be connected to backup power supply such as grid power supply or fuel generator when necessary.
