Project Introduction:
Most areas of West Kordofan，Sudan have a tropical desert climate with high temperature and little rain. With the withering of grasslands and the lack of surface water sources, the life of nomads in this region is facing great challenges.
Solution:
In July 2022, Solartech 11kw AC solar water pump system was successfully installed in a nomadic settlement in the state.The project uses deep well pump to pump water from borehole. The whole system is powered by solar system but no need battery, and operates automatically without manual supervision.
Social Benefits:
Compared with the diesel generator pump system, it can save high operation and maintenance costs. It can effectively solve the problem of domestic water supply in herdsmen's settlements in off grid areas.
