Nepal is a mountainous country, and its mountainous area accounts for about 68% of the land area. Due to the lack of power supply, large terrain drop and weak water supply infrastructure, some villagers living in high mountains need to spend a lot of time and energy climbing down the mountain for a long time to get water. How to solve this problem has become the most important concern of local villagers.

In July 2021, Solartech PB series high water head AC solar water pump system was selected in a water supply project for Rukum, Lapti,Nepal. The total water head is about 260 meters, and the average daily water flow exceeds 10 cubic meters.The system is powered by solar energy, no need storage battery. It is fully automatic operation, without manual guard.The operation and maintenance costs is low.

Now the villagers from uphill doesn’t have to travel downhill for hours just to collect water for domestic use which is going to save lots of their time which they can use for other works to increase the productivity. Also, the children and students from that village can focus more on their studies. The excess water can be used for agricultural purposes.
