Project Location:
India, Asia
Project Introduction:
AP state locates at the west shore of Bangladesh Bay, rich in rice and livestock breeding, is the largest tobacco producing place in India. This state has irrigation water shortage problems caused by low rainfalls, continuous droughts, and scarcities in electricity and diesel. But India has its advantage on solar radiation, as the solar panel price going down, India is fast moving towards solar agriculture irrigation.
Solution:
In 2014, Solartech PS2200 solar pumping system was installed successfully, it can produce water 100m3 daily at 18m water head for farmland irrigation. Using Solartech solar pumps to promote agriculture irrigation can severely reduce the coal consumption and pollution in India in order to improve the environment. MNRE is dedicated in advocating solar pumping system applications in agriculture and horticulture. Now, there are over 1,000 Solartech solar pumping system products stably operating in India.
