Solar Pumping System Promoted the Development of Solar Conservancy in Yunnan--Solartech and partners at the 9th Kunming Pan-Asian International Agricultural Expo
Water conservancy construction has been regarded as the key agriculture problem by Chinese government. The 9th Pan-Asia Kunming International Agricultural Expo was grandly held in Kunming International Exhibition Center on 13th, October, 2013. A mass of Yunnan local agricultural products with hi-quality as well as new technology have been shown in the fair. They demonstrated obviously the great efforts accomplished in the farmland irrigation by Yunnan provincial government in the past years.

Solartech and the partners attended the Agricultural Expo, and exhibited the world’s first renewable solar energy application products with various of patented technologies. The serious of products included solar pumping system and solar pumps ect.Mr. Hu Minhao, the Vice General Manager of Solartech introduced the application projects of solar pumping system in farmland irrigation, daily water supply and some other areas in Yunnan .
With decreasing rainfall, the agricultural production in Gaoda Town, Yuxi City has been hampered in recent years. Especially this year, the soaring of temperatures from the very start of the spring and some other factors resulted in severe drought, the bad situation is even more severe than the previous years. The drought in Gaoda town had seriously affected the growth of crops and the basic daily life of local villagers. Great attention has been paid to this by the municipal and provincial government.
This drought resisting demonstration project with solar pump was funded by the Science and Technology Department of Yunnan Province, and jointly launched by Rural Science and Technology Service Center of Yunnan Province and Yuxi Municipal Science and Technology Bureau with other departments. After repeated discussions and comparisons, they decided to adopt Solartech PSA5500-1 solar pumping system, which fully solved the irrigation problem of 200 acres of corn, wheat and other crops in Gaoda Town.In addition, according to the statistic analysis, the system can generate 17,870Kwh of electricity annually; it can also reduce 168 tons of coal, 73.9 tons of CO2, 3.4 tons of SO2, 2.5 tons smoke and 43.7 tons of lime-ash in its 25-year lifetime.The solar water conservancy projects brought substantial benefits to local economy and society.The measures taken by Yuxi municipal government are popular, which received a lot of praises from the local people.
Demonstration of Solartech Solar Pumping System in Gaoda
In addition to the significant effect in the application of agriculture irrigation in Yunnan, Shenzhen Solartech system also provide sufficient water resources for the water-lacking areas. The Shanyao people in Longmen Village, Banchao Town, Funing County, Yunnan Province had been struggling in water shortage.
