Solar Water Pumping Projects

The village centralized domestic water station located in Kazo Town, western Uganda, has caused great inconvenience to nearby villagers' daily water supply due to unstable grid power supply.

In recent years, Los Molles Town in the north of Valparaíso Region, the 5th region in Chile, has faced the threat of desertification. In dry season, local farmers in the suburbs face the problem of water shortage for irrigation.

In recent years, thanks to sufficient lighting conditions and suitable climate conditions, some farms in north Chile have begun to expand the cultivation of olive. Olives need sufficient water, but they cannot tolerate water logging. When rainfall is insufficient, they need to be replenished through irrigation and other methods during specific periods.

The Madi Okollo District, located in northern Uganda, faces challenges in terms of water supply for local communities due to climate drought and sparse rainfall. To address this challenge, the Ugandan government vigorously promotes and supports the construction of community residents' shared water supply stations based on the use of solar water pump systems.

Rain-fed farming plays an important role in the history of human development and is still prevalent in many developing countries to this day.
