Project Location:
Niger
Project Introduction:
Niger has a tropical desert climate in the north and a tropical savanna climate in the south. The whole year is divided into dry and rainy seasons. October to May of the next year is the dry season. The dry season lasts for 8 months and there is little rainfall. Drought has become the main natural disaster that herdsmen in Niger need to deal with.
Solution:
In June, 2022, Solartech
PB-G3 series 4kW AC
solar water pump system was successfully installed in a pasture in Niger. The system is mainly used to pump water from the deep well to the water tower, and then to the livestock drinking trough through the water pipeline to supply water for the sheep and camels raised by herdsmen.
The system is powered by solar system without battery, and can be connected to backup power supply such as fuel generator when necessary.
Social Benefits:
After the system was put into operation, it effectively solved the problem of livestock drinking water in the dry season.
