Santa Cruz Bolivia

Most of the areas in the Santa Cruz Department in the east of Bolivia are alluvial plains of the Amazon River, with fertile land and a developed agricultural and livestock economy. However, in some remote rural areas there is still no power grid coverage, coupled with weak water infrastructure and other problems, greatly restricting the development of local agriculture and animal husbandry. Therefore, it is very urgent to solve the problems of power supply and water supply in the region.

In October 2023, a family farm near Santa rosa de Roca, in the department of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, chose to install a Solartech SPM-S Permanent Magnet Solar Water pumping System to solve its water supply problem. The system uses submersible pumps to pump water from a well to the ground for the farmer's daily life and animal husbandry, with a total head of about 50 meters and an average daily pumping capacity of more than 20m³. The complete system is small in size, can be installed outdoors, and is fully automated, with zero electricity costs and no need for manual management and maintenance.

The successful installation and operation of the system not only solves the daily water demand problem of the farmer and guarantees their agricultural and animal husbandry harvest, but also plays a demonstration role in solving the water supply problem of nearby farms and villages, and promotes the use of new solar energy in the local area and promotes the sustainable development of agriculture and animal husbandry.
