Maule District in central Chile has fertile land and developed agriculture. Because the local climate is similar to the Mediterranean climate, and the summer is dry and rainless, it is necessary to use the electric motor pump to pump water for irrigation. In a farm on the outskirts of Parral in this area, since the local grid power only provides single-phase electricity and cannot provide power for the high-power three-phase water pump, the farmer had to choose oil-fed generator for power supply. With the rise of petrol price, the cost of using oil-fed generator to pump water is getting higher and higher. Therefore, the farmer decided to use the solar pumping system on his farm pumping station.

In January 2024, Solartech worked together with Chilean partner to design and provide equipment for the farmer's 80HP electic motor pump. The project selects Solartech PK-CA Solar Pumping Control Box. During the day, solar power generation can be used to drive the water pump to pump water from the deep well to the reservoir. When solar condition is not good or at night, the oil-fed generator can still be used to provide backup power supply to meet the requirements of 24-hour operation of the water pump.

After the project is completed and put into operation, it not only ensures the irrigation water for farmers to grow corn and beans, but also significantly reduces the cost of farmers' purchase of petrol, realizes the upgrading of clean energy application of the farm, reduces carbon emissions, and has both economic and ecological benefits.
